The Mguide revolution
The arrival of multimedia guides in museums has revolutionized visitor experience. The pictures and videos presented within the Mguide enhance the collections, they guide the eye, widen the perception. These multimedia contents may be presented under various formats: archives, interviews, documentaries, augmented reality…
The Mguide enables visitors to plan and personalize their itinerary according to their interests and desires before arriving at the museum. During their visit, they can create a digital logbook which can be retrieved at home and shared on social media. Hence, the cultural visit is extended, visitors engage with cultural sites before, during and after their visit.
From another aspect, the Mguide enables institutions to collect information on their visitors, we call it visitor profiling. They are also able to monitor visitor flows in order to ensure a pleasant and fluent visit. Finally, the Mguide brings a larger perception of the site by presenting to visitors all the services available such as restaurants, shops, gardens…
